Catalina Island is a pretty white sandy beaches' island near the south coast of the country. Is a protected national park where there are no buildings. The first dive can be made on "The Wall", a good dive site with depths from 10 to 30 meters. A second dive would be "The Aquarium", with a maximum depth of 12 meters. Huge coral gardens and many different Caribbean sea life are often seen.
The Samana Peninsula, on the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, offers wonderful white sandy beaches, amazing dive sites as well as Los Haitises National Park - the largest national park in the area inhabited by a great number of different species of flora and fauna.
Hundreds of humpback whales migrate to the Bay of Samaná in the winter months between January and March. We sail along the north coast, where you will enjoy the most lush and pristine beaches of the country. At the first panoramic stop on the Cayos Limón you can join the first snorkel adventure. We get to Playa El Hermitaño, where the reality show "Survivor" has been filmed, and where you will be amazed by the tropical nature at its finest. At this point you can enjoy the second snorkel stop and enjoy the beach and get a taste of natural coconut with soft drinks. On the way back we stop at Playa Moron, of singular beauty with an old pirate canon.
We go by bus to Las Galeras, where we are greeted with a welcome cocktail before taking a safari truck to begin the journey. We make the first stop in the small market Dominicano-Campo, where we can enjoy a tasting of local fruits and contemplate cocoa plantations. We follow the journey enjoying the beautiful views of the Samaná peninsula, arriving at Playa Rincon, where you can snorkel and have a horseback ride along the beach. Here you can taste the delicious typical Dominican food plus 1/2 a pound of lobster per person.
